How did you find out about Grimm and why did you choose the company?: At the beginning of my fourth semester, I used the university's website to look at all the companies that cooperate with the university as part of a practical semester. Right from the start, I liked the Grimm company best because of its modern, future-oriented and young appearance. In addition, there were factors such as the proximity to Biberach, the rural and familiar environment, and of course the types of projects and areas of activity that matched my professional orientation.

Which area can you be found in? And what are your tasks?: I am currently working in construction management under Andreas Holzschuh. My tasks are those that a site manager also carries out on a daily basis, which I personally like very much. Because it is precisely because of my work as a trainee that I want to know what it is like to do this job. So I'm in contact with the clients, the subcontractors and my colleagues. I also prepare requests for quotations, calculate various trades for certain construction projects and regularly visit construction sites, which also often involves manual work.

What is your first impression of the Grimm company?: At the beginning, I talked about the impression the company made on me via the Internet and during my application phase, and that this impression was ultimately the deciding factor in choosing Grimm between various offers. This impression was also confirmed during the first weeks of my internship. I think that the rural environment and the familiar and respectful interaction between all employees - whether management, office staff, craftsmen, subcontractors or builders - is very good for the company. Personally, I like that very much, also because it makes it possible for an intern to settle in well or find his way around the company and then concentrate on what the actual task of an intern is: Getting to know new things and applying them.
